LiteWork Pro – Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information for contractors, teams, and their customers.

1. Introduction

LiteWork Pro (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides software for scheduling, project management, and client communication. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit our website or use our applications (“Services”).

By using LiteWork Pro, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

  • Identity & Contact Data: Name, phone number, email address, mailing address.
  • Business Data: Company name, trade details, job site addresses, tax or licensing information.
  • Account Data: Login credentials, role, settings, and preferences.
  • Usage & Device Data: IP address, device type, browser type, pages visited, time on page, and diagnostic logs.
  • Payment Data: Card and bank information processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communication Data: SMS logs, call logs, voicemail, and message content when our communication features are used.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage user accounts and workspaces.
  • To schedule jobs, track work, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
  • To process payments, invoices, and payouts via integrated providers such as Stripe.
  • To send service-related notifications, reminders, and status updates via email, SMS, or in-app alerts.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To analyze usage trends and improve our features and performance.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract: To provide the Services you sign up for, including account management and communications.
  • Legitimate Interests: To secure our platform, prevent abuse, and improve the Services.
  • Consent: For certain optional features, such as marketing communications where required by law.
  • Legal Obligations: To comply with accounting, tax, and other regulatory requirements.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service Providers: Stripe, Azure Communication Services, hosting and analytics providers, and similar vendors that support our operations.
  • Team Members & Collaborators: Other users in your workspace, where sharing is necessary for job coordination.
  • Legal & Compliance: Authorities or advisors when required to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect rights.

5A. SMS & Mobile Phone Number Privacy

LiteWork Pro does not share, sell, rent, or disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are used solely for delivering service-related communications such as appointment updates, job notifications, estimates, support messages, and other customer-requested interactions.

LiteWork Pro only shares SMS-related information with our telecommunications providers and technology partners when strictly required to transmit messages through our platform, and never for their own marketing or independent use.

6. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and may process information in the U.S. and other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent protections as permitted by applicable law.

7. Security

We use technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No system is 100% secure, but we work continually to reduce risk.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Accounts inactive for more than 60 days may be deactivated and scheduled for deletion.

9. Your Rights

For EEA/UK residents (GDPR):

  • Access your personal data and receive a copy.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion in certain circumstances.
  • Object to or request restriction of processing.
  • Data portability for information you provided.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

For California residents (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Request to know what information we collect and how we use it.
  • Request deletion of information, with exceptions.
  • Request details about disclosures.
  • We do not sell personal information.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Please review this page periodically for changes.

13. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

LiteWork Pro processes personal information in accordance with applicable laws including CCPA/CPRA and GDPR.

Under GDPR, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Under CCPA, California residents may request to know, delete, or request disclosure details. LiteWork Pro does not sell personal information.
